Join NSA Hampton Roads for our summer rowing regatta challenge. The challenge will run from July to September. Every week there will be a different rowing challenge, with each new challenge becoming progressively harder. At the end of the challenge, return your completed log to one of the three NSA Hampton Roads gyms to receive a prize! Open to all male and female ID card holders.
July 4 to 10
Row 2 sets of 2000 meters at a light warmup pace (4-7 resistance).
July 11 to 17
Complete 3 rows at 2000 meters at own pace.
July 18 to 24
Complete 2 Rows at 2500 meters at light pace.
July 25 to 31
Complete 3 Rows at 2500 meters at self-pace.
August 1 to 7
Complete 1 row at 2500 meters and complete a workout of 5 rounds of 250-meter row, 1 minute plank and 10 push-ups.
August 8 to 14
Complete 3 rows of 2000 meters at intervals of 1 minute row, 1 minute rest, 2 minutes row, 2 minutes rest, 1 minute row, 1 minute rest.
August 15 to 21
Row 5000 meters. Can be done in one sitting or partitioned through the week.
August 22 to 28
Complete 2 days of a warmup of a 250-meter row, 10 squats, 200-meter row, 10 squats. Time cap of 10 minutes.
August 29 to September 4
Complete a 6000-meter row. Can be done in one sitting or partitioned.
September 5 to 11
Complete 3 days of rowing 1500 meters for a warmup before workout.
September 12 to 30
Complete 20,000 meters of rowing. Pace yourself. Can be done in one sitting or partitioned throughout the weeks. Recommended to partition.
